The whole philosophy behind the local Neighbourhood Plan, and a key objective, is the involvement of the local community in planning decisions that affect us all.
There are a number of ways you can contribute to the Plan, ranging from attending a consultation event or completing an online questionnaire, to playing a central role with one of the Topic Groups.
Join a Topic Group
We are looking for more people to get involved in our four Topic Groups. Groups meet more or less frequently and are currently engaged in researching and developing various potential options for issues that relate to their topic:
- Housing and the Environment
- The Economy
- Community
- Transport and Infrastructure.
For more information on any the Topic Groups go to Topic Groups.
If you think you would like to join a Topic Group, please email us at ascotandthesunnings@yahoo.com.
Feedback your views on a proposed Vision – online NOW
We regularly invite feedback from everyone on the different stages of the development process. We have just completed an important phase of the process by having a proposed Vision for our local area and we would like as many people as possible to tell us whether they agree with it or not. Please click here to view the document or go through to the online Vision Paper Questionnaire to tell us your views. Closing date is 15 May 2012.
Community events and consultations
In September 2011 we held a major event to launch the development process, which was well attended. We hope to hold some more events at key points during the process, to seek your views on what should be in the Plan and what approach we should take on a range of issues. These will be publicised locally and will be announced on this website under What’s Happening.
For more information on all past and current events and consultations go to our Events and Consultations page.
